Job Summary: The Assistant Manager Credit Control will offer support
to MPL in the implementation and maintenance of an effective credit control
system.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Professionally manage clients outstanding
    balances and ensure collections are made as and when due;
  • The jobholder will ensure timely delivery of
    invoices to clients, follow up for payment and ensure client queries on
    billing are sorted out promptly;
  • Actively monitor the progress of all pending
    transactions on a daily basis;
  • Update clients regularly on the status of
    their out standings and updates the oracle system;
  • Responsible for client accounts
    reconciliation;
  • Organize client’s visits in coordination with
    operations;
  • Regular follow up on all outstanding debts
    for specific customer accounts (Sending appropriate reminders);
  • Identify changes in client’s payment patterns
    and report.
  • Responsible for investigating and resolving
    queries relating to non-payment of invoices;
  • Actively monitor debt recovery procedures
    & credit time scales for all company clients; and
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager
    Credit Control job vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
    Administration, Commerce with Accounting Option or Science in Accounting
    and Finance;
  • A professional certificate/diploma in credit
    control is an added advantage;
  • At least three years’ experience in credit
    control management;
  • Prior experience with debt collection;
  • Confident and assertive;
  • Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in
    Microsoft Office packages;
  • Good team player;
  • Good accounting knowledge;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • High degree of honesty and integrity; and
  • Excellent communication skills.
