Reports to: Zonal Sales Manager

Uganda. Initially focused on the distribution of roofing sheets, the business
has since expanded in a group of four diversified companies. These range from
pharmaceutical distribution, pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution of
fast-moving consumer goods and premium-quality financial services. Through its
vision, the company has retained a close connection to the communities it
serves, by supporting countrywide medical campaigns in Uganda and supporting
the development of local talent. The company is headquartered in Uganda,
Kampala and has operational offices across East Africa, in Burundi, Kenya,
Rwanda, South Sudan and Tanzania.
Job Summary: The Territory Sales In charge (TSI) will be responsible
for the overall management of 1 or 2 distributors within the allocated region
and to ensure that all business operations at the distributor level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
1. Managing Distributors:
  • Ensure that distributor has required number
    of DSR’s, Supervisors & required infrastructure
  • Ensure distributor maintains stock as per
    Agreed Stock Holding
  • Keenly review the business , targets , month
    promotions by 1st& 2nd of every month
2. Achieving Targets:
  • Ensuring primary, secondary as per the target
  • Acquisition of new outlets as per target
3. Team Handling:
  • Ensure that the distributor team is fully
    motivated and the distributor maintains a healthy pay-out structure to the
    sales team
  • In charge of managing the productivity of
    DSR’s-Route and Beat
  • Attending morning gate meetings
  • Training DSR’s/Distributor team for new
    product and initiatives
4. Market Visibility:
  • Ensure the DSR goes to market with all the
    merchandising material supplied
  • Ensure DSR deploys the POS material as per
    the norms and at the right visibility level
  • Ensures that every retailer has the latest
    communication/POS material deployed in his outlet
5. Process Compliance:
  • Ensuring availability of standard sales reports
    at distributor’s office
  • Adhering to TAT for various processes as
  • Visit Market (Route & Beat) of every DSR
    on regular basis
  • Ensuring that beat plans are adhered by the
  • Send market feedback to ZSM’s
  • Healthy pay-out structure
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: The ideal
candidates should preferably hold diplomas or degrees in any field
