Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) is a Ugandan National non-governmental
organisation that specializes in
community based health interventions in mid-western and western Uganda. Mayanja
Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) is currently implementing the USAID
Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in the South West Uganda
project that aims to increase the availability, accessibility, and quality of
integrated health services including HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment;
maternal, neonatal, and child health services; family planning; nutrition
assessment and counseling and support; malaria prevention and treatment; and
other primary care services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Administrative and Operations Officer
will manage all transport operations, human resource management and
ensures safe custody and proper utilisation of project property - Organise cost effective utilization of
vehicles and equipment. - The incumbent arranges for and oversees the
maintenance and repairs of fixed assets, including buildings, equipment,
and vehicles. - Oversees the development and maintenance of
appropriate administrative & management policies, systems,
regulations, and procedures. - Ensures that all logistical requirements to
facilitate smooth implementation of field activities are well planned in
advance and coordinated. - Takes charge of the procurement and disposal
unit of the organisation. - The incumbent updates and maintains the
program asset register in accordance with the relevant regulations to
ensure security of assets. - Oversees the provision of effective and
efficient administrative support services to ensure that they are provided
in accordance with the policies, systems, and regulations. - Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of
employees, schedule management meetings with employees. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the
supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the USAID RHITES Administrative
and Operations Officer job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
social sciences, human resources management, SWSA, business administration
and or its equivalent from a recognised institution. Possession of a post
graduate diploma in project planning and management is an added advantage. - At least three years’ experience in human
resource management or a relevant office in an NGO/projects setting - Previous exposure and experience in
performance management and communication processes and working with teams
in a dynamic environment - Good managerial, leadership and supervisory
skills - Computer literacy skills
- Excellent presentation and report writing
skills - Excellent organisation, communication,
analytical and problem solving skills
