in six (6) countries namely Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania and
Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The range of services and products have
grown beyond General Insurance to include Life Assurance, Property Investments,
Fund Management and related Financial Services such as insurance premium
financing, financial advisory and securities brokerage. The Group own UAP
Insurance (U) Limited, the leading insurance company in Uganda.
Summary: The Training Manager will be in charge of enhancing skills,
performance, productivity and quality of work of the Sales Force.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and assess future and current training
needs of the Agency force through consultation with respective managers
Draw an overall training and development plan that
addresses needs and expectation of the Agency force
Carry out an effective induction, orientation and
training sessions
Actively monitor and evaluate training program’s
effectiveness, success and report on them
The Training Manager will develop training materials.
Provide opportunities for ongoing development
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends,
developments and best practices
Skills and Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a good
university degree with a Diploma in Sales & Marketing
At least two to four years’ experience in the
training a Sales Team with a proven track record in performance
Proven working experience as a training manager
Excellent track record in designing and executing
successful training programs
Excellent communication, relationship management
and leadership skills
Proven ability to plan, multi-task and manage time
effectively
Good report writing and record keeping ability
High degree of resilience to cope with pressure of
working in a fast paced, dynamic and rapidly changing customer expectations
environment
Computer literacy i.e. working knowledge of MS
Office suite applications
