• Carry out risk-based technical internal audit
  assignments in line with departmental work plan;
• Implement approved technical audit guidelines,
  procedures and work practices;
• The incumbent will assess compliance with the
  set technical specifications and standards as well as best practices;
• Conduct internal technical audits in the
  assigned units in line with International Standards of Auditing and any
  other relevant technical (engineering) standard(s);
• Coordinate with the risk management and
  compliance units of the organization’s risk assessment.
• The incumbent will document results of the
  audits and make appropriate recommendations within the set timelines;
• Actively participate in the coordination of
  external technical audits in assigned units and follow up on
  implementation of recommendations with relevant
• departments/ regions/ stations;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Technical
  Audit Manager.

• The applicant for the UNRA Technical Audit
  Officer job opportunity should hold an Honors Degree in Civil Engineering,
  Highway engineering or;
• Possession of a Master’s Degree in a related
  field and other post graduate qualifications in Civil Engineering, Highway
  Engineering or other relevant field will be an added advantage;
• The applicant should preferably be registered
  with the professional Engineers Registration Board (ERB) or its equivalent
  in the Commonwealth
• At least three years auditing experience in a
  large organization;
• Significant working experience in the
  internal audit of an organization/business unit with diverse professions.
• Computer literacy skills
• Impeccable level of integrity;
• Proven track record of outstanding
  performance;
• Ability to work as part of a team and to
  develop subordinates;
• Excellent interpersonal, particularly
  staff/management relations;
• Possess excellent oral and written
  communication skills;
• Ability to manage/supervise multi skilled teams
  and deliver accurate results in a timely manner and in an environment with
  multiple and challenging tasks.
