Uganda (GHU) is a registered not for profit, limited liability company involved
in facilitating collaborative research especially in the area of brain injury
and neurodevelopment. The organization subcontracts and manages research
grants. GHU has received funding from Oak Foundation (The National Commitment
Fund for Violence Prevention). The overall purpose of this fund is to bring a
select group of existing and emerging thought leaders and practitioners
together regularly over a one-year period to discuss and agree on how to
prevent violence against children within the Uganda context.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the selection process for
grantees
Follow up on grantees’ activities and progress
reports
In charge of the preparation and submission of periodic
progress reports as may be required
Provide all logistical support for the project
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a University
degree preferably in Public Administration, Psychology, Social Sciences, Social
Work and Administration.
Basic accounting knowledge is an added advantage.
Previous experience in child torture prevention is
an added advantage.
Excellent organization and planning skills with
ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner.
Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficient in
Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
