Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) is a Ugandan National non-governmental
organisation that specializes  in
community based health interventions in mid-western and western Uganda. Mayanja
Memorial Hospital Foundation (MMHF) is currently implementing the USAID
Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in the South West Uganda
project that aims to increase the availability, accessibility, and quality of
integrated health services including HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment;
maternal, neonatal, and child health services; family planning; nutrition
assessment and counseling and support; malaria prevention and treatment; and
other primary care services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for transporting technical teams
    for field work
  • Ensure security of vehicles and their
    accessories.
  • Ensure safety of passengers and cargo while
    driving.
  • The Driver will maintain a record of movements
    for the assigned vehicle through writing in a logbook
  • Ensure timely servicing of vehicles assigned
  • Prepare and submit reports on respective
    vehicle movements and mechanical conditions to the
  • senior driver.
           
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Driver must hold an A’ Level UACE certificate
  • Additional training in defensive driving is
    mandatory
  • Training in motor vehicle mechanics is an added
    advantage.
  • The applicant must also hold a Valid driving
    permit class DL
  • A minimum of three years’ driving experience
    in a reputable organization
  • Ability to do minor repairs and maintenance
    of vehicles
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team
  • Flexible, able and willing to work for long
    hours
