Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by an Act of Parliament;

1st July 2008. The mandate of UNRA is to
develop and maintain the national roads network, advise Government on general
roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport concerns, among others.

- The incumbent will be tasked with developing
and implementing practices for the monitoring of information systems
logical and physical security to minimize the risk of equipment and data
loss, theft or tampering; - Actively monitor and report on the
performance of network, system and application security solutions to
highlight areas of noncompliance and inform the development of improved
systems/solutions; - Manage the allocation of access privileges of
users to ensure appropriate security settings are applied in accordance
with UNRA ICT security policies; - Carry out security breech investigations to
guide the refinement of information security policies, practices and
systems; - Manage the periodic maintenance of security
systems and applications to ensure new threats are identified and managed
and the security of UNRA’s assets is maintained; - Respond to audit reports and implement agreed
recommendations within specified time frames; - Develop risk matrix and put in place risk
mitigation measures in ICT security management at UNRA; - Actively participate in planning, budgeting
and reporting in line with departmental guidelines and targets. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager

Engineering, Information Communication Technology or any other relevant
courses from a recognized University; - Possession of professional certification in
information systems security is an added advantage. - At least three years’ experience in ICT
security in a large organization. - Excellent interpersonal, particularly
staff/management relation skills - Excellent oral and written communication
skills; - Ability to work and produce accurate results
in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks; - Analytical and problem solving techniques;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- High level of Integrity.
