Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by an Act of Parliament;
The Uganda National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became operational on
1st July 2008. The mandate of UNRA is to
develop and maintain the national roads network, advise Government on general
roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport concerns, among others.

management of all the office utilities. The Estates officer, in liaison with
station engineers, will also be responsible for maintenance of all UNRA offices
at head office and in the stations.
- Actively participate in the planning for
developments and maintenance required to support the operation of the
Authority, ensuring that adequate budgetary provision is made; - Operate and maintain UNRA site offices fully
functional to support the operations of the Authority, including ensuring
the buildings are maintained to the highest possible standards at all
times; - Prepare inventory of UNRA estates assets;
- Conduct regular equipment checks such as fire
hydrants, alarms and emergency lighting ; - Manage the activities of contractors and
consultants in order to deliver effective estate management activities; - Manage the utilities ( Telephone, Water,
Electricity ) of the Authority; - Respond to audit reports and implement agreed
recommendations within specified time frames; - Develop risk matrix and put in place risk
mitigation measures in the management of estates at UNRA; - Actively participate in planning, budgeting
and reporting in line with departmental guidelines and targets. - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Estates
Manager
- The applicant for the UNRA Estates Officer career
placement should hold an Honors degree in Civil Engineering, Economics,
Social Sciences, Estate Management or any other related field; - Three years’ experience in Estate management
in a similar organization. - Ability to work as part of a team and to
develop subordinates; - Excellent interpersonal, particularly
staff/management relation skills - Excellent oral and written communication
skills. - Computer literacy skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving
techniques; - Excellent customer service;
- High level of Integrity.
