About UNRA:
The
Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) was established by an Act of Parliament;
The Uganda National Authority Act, No. 15 of 2006. UNRA became operational on
1st July 2008.  The mandate of UNRA is to
develop and maintain the national roads network, advise Government on general
roads policy and contribute to addressing of transport concerns, among others.
Job Summary: The Corporate Branding Officer will be
responsible for implementing brand concepts, enforcing brand standards and
implementing campaigns that increase the awareness of staff about UNRA’s brand.
The incumbent will also be responsible for complying with and implementing the
client care standards in all UNRA offices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monitoring market trends and
    participating in developing brand concepts that enhance the UNRA brand in
    line with the branding guidelines;
  • Conduct research on similar organizations in
    the region and monitor best practices and trends that can improve UNRA
    operations and identity.
  • Generate new ideas for new posters, bill
    boards, signage, designs for uniforms, including shape, size, colors,
    fonts and imagery that enhances UNRA’s brand visibility
  • Managing the production of TV adverts,
    newspaper and magazine advertisements, direct mail packs, email campaigns,
    websites, exhibition stands, road shows and liaising with art designers,
    copywriters, media buyers and printers ensure compliance with brand
    objectives.
  • The job holder will also be coordinating the
    sign off of marketing literature and campaigns, liaising with legal and
    compliance personnel, ensuring the designs and messages meet UNRA’s brand
    and regulatory guidelines;
  • Writing and presenting reports to clients and
    senior management
  • Organizing events, photo shoots and launch
    parties for completed road projects and other events;
  • The incumbent will be regularly meeting with
    various departments and disseminating brand concepts while monitoring
    compliance to brand standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the
    Senior Officer Corporate Branding and Client Care
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant for the UNRA Corporate Branding
    Officer vacancy should hold an Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing,
    Industrial Art with a bias in graphic and brand design or any other
    related field;
  • Possession of any other post graduate
    qualifications in design, branding and marketing is an added advantage;
  • At least three years of professional
    corporate experience in a highly reputable organization;
  • Demonstrated practical experience in
    designing and executing brand concepts is an added advantage;
  • Strong conceptual skills
  • Good team player;
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a
    team and to develop subordinates;
  • Excellent interpersonal, particularly
    staff/management relations, oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work and produce accurate results
    in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks;
  • Impeccable level of integrity.
