Kwarikwar Baptist Church are Christ centered Evangelical churches committed to
fulfilling the great commission as mandated by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew
28:16-20. They are currently working in partnership with Compassion
International in the Ministry of Nurturing Poor Children, and releasing them
from poverty in Jesus name.
Job Summary: The Child Survival Program Implementer will
primarily interface with
Child
Survival Program (CSP) beneficiaries as 80% of the time will be out in the
field visiting homes, training and equipping CSP beneficiaries in the CSP
intervention skills. The incumbent will also  monitor the manner in which the intervention
are impacting the beneficiaries, children’s growth and being a model Christian,
respect people’s privacy and confidentiality. He or She shall be an active
minister in the project resident Church where s/he is posted.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Regularly visit homes of CSP beneficiaries to
    monitor implementation of skills that have been taught.
  • Mentor and train mothers in child survival as
    a means of enhancing the development of child survival skills amongst the
    parents registered under CSP at household level.
  • Active participation in preparation of CSP
    annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily work plans and budgets and
    ensure timely compilation of periodic activity reports.
  • Make proper entry records into the mother- child
    unit information reports.
  • Carry out home visits and group activities as
    means of facilitating the child and mother needs identification process.
  • The CSP implementer will also take the
    responsibility of implementing the CSP Curriculum and ensure that each
    mother child unit is impacted as per the programmatic requirements.
  • Perform any other lawful CSP related
    activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Project Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the Compassion
    International Child Survival Program Implementer vacancies should at least
    hold a Diploma in Education/social work administration, Social work &
    social Administration, Social sciences, Development Studies, Education,
    Communication, records management, Nursing, primary healthcare, community
    health, clinical medicine and any related disciplines.
  • Additional formal training in counseling and
    child development will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience and current knowledge of
    HIV/AIDS intervention is desirable.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Working ability to apply and adapt to
    established accounting procedures to a variety of accounting transactions,
    problems and situations.
  • Impeccable level of personal integrity.
  • Excellent written communication skills and
    strong verbal communication skills.
  • Skills in Project planning and management
    will be an added advantage.
  • Intermediate English ability is preferred.
  • The applicants should all have a personal
    relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness who
    demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people
    within and outside of the Church, and also faithfully upholds child
    ministry in prayer.
  • Ability to work with and influence others,
    serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in
    poverty and are not able to speak out for themselves. This includes being
    informed about issues affecting children and influencing others to greater
    involvement on their behalf.
