Bank provides professional and personalized commercial banking services to
various sectors of the economy including financial support to Parastatals,
Corporates, Small and Medium Enterprises, Individuals, and Non-Governmental
Organisations.
Oversee
the delivery of various Bank Projects, including IT projects, branch
expansions, optimizing use of resources, maximizing benefits realization.
The
incumbent will develop full-scale project plans as well as budgets proposals;
ensure dose monitoring of activities and disbursements and recommend subsequent
budget changes where necessary
Define
project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in
collaboration with senior management and other stakeholders.
The
job holder will effectively manage, supervise vendors, contractors and
consultants to ensure that all projects are delivered according to the agreed
specifications (Statement of Works) and budgets.
Proactively
manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise
contingency plans.
Ran
and schedule projects using appropriate tools including the utilization of the
approved Project Management methodology (Prince2)
Prepare
and send reports to the executive committee on project operational issues,
opportunities, development plans and achievements within agreed timescales.
Guide
the inception stages and setup of infrastructural projects with the
stakeholders and line manager and provide advice about methodologies,
materials, equipment and other considerations for proper project planning and implementation.
Experience:
The
Tropical Bank Senior Manager Projects must hold a good and relevant Bachelor’s
degree from a reputable university.
A
minimum of six years of relevant experience, with four years in a financial institution.
Broad
knowledge and understanding of how the different organizational functions and
processes relate to each other.
Detailed
understanding of the procurement policy, processes and controls
Broad
working knowledge of project management techniques – PRINCE2 Training Desired
Ability
to manage interdisciplinary teams and budgets effectively
Commercial
awareness and knowledge of company business requirements
Excellent
communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proven
ability to build and maintain relationships with Landlords and regulatory
bodies such as City Town Council, Ministry of Lands.
Demonstrated
ability to supervise, train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and
scheduling work assignments.
High
level of integrity and ethical standards.
