Job Summary:  The Agribusiness Advisor will support our
agriculture programme in Uganda and they should have expertise and good
networks in two or more of the following fields: dairy, youth development,
climate smart agriculture, women empowerment, inclusive business, value
chain financing, pastoral livelihoods, food security or nutrition.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Agribusiness
    Advisor job vacancy should hold a Master’s degree in agribusiness
    related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience
    in value chain development and climate smart agriculture
  • Prior experience in the private
    sector will be an added value.
  • Significant experience in capacity
    building and empowerment of different actors in the value chain and
    facilitation of multi-stakeholder processes.
  • Previous experience in gender
    governance and accountability is an added advantage.
  • Prior exposure and experience in
    project planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and budget
    management.
  • Proven experience in business
    development, programme design, proposal writing, international donor
    and private investor relationship management.
  • Highly self-motivated person with
    good leadership, teamwork, coaching, communication, networking and
    organisational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS word,
    Excel, PowerPoint and social media.
