Pentecostal Fellowship Nabiswa, Deliverances Churches Budaka, Kirika and
Kwarikwar Baptist Church are Christ centered Evangelical churches committed to
fulfilling the great commission as mandated by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew
28:16-20. They are currently working in partnership with Compassion
International in the Ministry of Nurturing Poor Children, and releasing them
from poverty in Jesus name.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the cognitive and economic
    development of the sponsored children ensuring that this aspect is
    properly planned and implemented as per annual opportunity plan. This will
    involve acting as a resource person for empowering caregivers in income generating
    activities so as to reduce reliance on support funds for the sponsored
    children.
  • The incumbent will maintain all project books
    of accounts including cash books, voucher registers, and posts entries to
    various accounts. This includes compiling project financial statements,
    including fund balance summary and expense summaries reconciliation sheets
    for specific accounts, bank reconciliation and budget reports.
  • Visits the children in their homes to assess
    their situations and offer intervention where necessary.
  • Renders support in compiling and preparing materials
    for budget estimates.
  • Processes requests for supply, maintains
    stock or inventory records for the daily supplies to the project. This
    will involve keeping records of the project assets including monitoring
    their use.
  • Update and maintain the payroll and ensure
    that statutory deductions are made and submitted to the relevant bodies in
    time.
  • Implement the age graded curriculum for
    children as assigned by the Project Director.
  • Write and submit accurate and timely monthly
    financial reports to the Project Director.
  • Prepare and submit monthly work plans to the
    Project Director.
  • Be responsible for following up the academic
    performance of the children including visiting schools to liaise with the
    teachers on issues pertaining to their academic performance
  • Perform any other child ministry related
    duties assigned by the Project Director.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the CDO Finance job
    opportunity should at least hold a Diploma in Education/social work
    administration, Social work & social Administration, Social sciences,
    Development Studies, Education, Communication, records management,
    Nursing, primary healthcare, community health, clinical medicine and any
    related disciplines.
  • Additional formal training in counseling and
    child development will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience and current knowledge of
    HIV/AIDS intervention is desirable.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Impeccable level of personal integrity.
  • Working ability to apply and adapt to
    established accounting procedures to a variety of accounting transactions,
    problems and situations.
  • Excellent written communication skills and
    strong verbal communication skills.
  • Skills in Project planning and management
    will be an added advantage.
  • Intermediate English ability is preferred.
  • The applicants should all have a personal
    relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness who
    demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people
    within and outside of the Church, and also faithfully upholds child
    ministry in prayer.
  • Ability to work with and influence others,
    serves as an advocate for children and their caregivers who live in
    poverty and are not able to speak out for themselves. This includes being
    informed about issues affecting children and influencing others to greater
    involvement on their behalf.
