Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally
(SPRING) Project is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by JSI Research
& Training Institute Inc. with partners, Helen Keller International, the
Manoff Group, Save the Children, and the International Food Policy Research
Institute (IFPRI). SPRING’s overarching
vision is to reduce under-nutrition, prevent stunting, and work with women of
reproductive age and children aged 6-23 months on reducing anemia. SPRING aims
to strengthen country efforts to scale up high-impact nutrition practices and
policies to improve maternal and child nutrition outcomes.
The Food Fortification M&E Officer will render support
in developing activity plans for meetings of the NWGFF and technical
subcommittees, generate letter of invitations for signature distribute letters
of invitations, organize meetings, take notes during meetings and produce
meeting reports for NWGFF members and all stakeholders.
The incumbent will support the focal point officer
to generate monthly activity plan, budget and make timely requisition to SPRING
for projections.
Collect monthly data on the result framework
indicators already analyzed from UNBS, URA, NDA, and UBOS store the data and
share report with the NWGFF members and other stakeholders.
Work closely with the focal point office will
produce monthly, quarterly, and annual report on progress on fortification, and
share with stakeholders and the donor.
Can be delegated by the focal point officer to
represent her at all micronutrient related meetings produce report and document
and share with stakeholders.
Work in liaison with focal person officer, document
success stories, lessons learned and share with members of the NWGFF and other
stakeholders and the donor.
In consultation with the focal person will write
abstracts for National level and international conferences related to
micronutrients.
Attend all staff meetings at SPRING.
Work with the Program Officer, Food Fortification at
SPRING to generate activity budget, procurement request and projections for all
activities to support NWGFF secretariat.
Actively participate in any activities delegated by
the Focal Person Officer or the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at SPRING or
the Program Officer, Food Fortification.
Experience:
The Food Fortification M&E Officer should hold a
Degree in Human Nutrition, and Dietetics or Food Science and Technology a
Master degree in Nutrition or Public Health will be an added advantage
At least four years’ experience working in nutrition
related field and significant monitoring and evaluation experience, six years
(Required)
Prior exposure and experience in research
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Computer literacy skills
