Manager
Uganda is the leading Honey Company in Uganda with a processing plant located
in the West Nile Region where we cover the five districts of Nebbi, Arua,
Yumbe, Moyo and Adjumani.
and Quality Control Supervisor will primarily ensure standard quality of all
the products, processes and that the quality of the honey and other products
supplied and packaged conform to the Uganda Bureau of Standards and
International Standards requirements.
Draw up production schedules weekly/monthly;
Ensure that all products are processed on time and
are of good quality and correct measures;
Actively monitor product standards and implement
quality-control programmes;
Prepare and submit honey and wax production reports
as required by Management.
Work closely with the Operations manager to
implement the company’s policies and goals;
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are
followed;
Supervise and motivate a team of workers under production;
Carry out sampling and analysis of product samples
for process control and quality monitoring.
Ensure proper management of the Laboratory in accordance
with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Housekeeping practices
The incumbent will ensure regular and proper
maintenance of process system.
Actively participate in all company safety training
and audits as required.
Quickly respond appropriately to internal auditors
and external inspectors.
Render support in writing, reviewing, and commenting
on technical documents.
Preparation and submission of periodic reports and
summaries of all data collected and making recommendations for appropriate
action.
Prepare all the necessary quality documentation as
required by UNBS
Prepare and carry out annual quality audit.
Send periodic samples for quality tests as per
quality requirements
Maintain hygiene at the factory both for staff and
plant
Ensure staff compliance with food handling
procedures
Ensure traceability of the products.
Perform any other duty assigned by the Operations
Manager
Sampling and testing of honey samples done
Standard Operating Procedures and Good House Keeping
Periodic flushing of the honey processing plant
equipment.
Responding to technical audit queries.
Reports for quality improvement to management
Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
in Laboratory Technology (Chemistry/ Bio- Chemistry, Microbiology), Food
Science, Environmental management, Apiculture.
A minimum of five years’ experience in a busy
environment especially with honey quality control
Computer knowledge
Excellent analytical skills
Process-oriented
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively motivate a team of diverse
individuals
