Executive Officer
Uganda is the leading Honey Company in Uganda with a processing plant located
in the West Nile Region where we cover the five districts of Nebbi, Arua,
Yumbe, Moyo and Adjumani.
leadership and management of the Arua office, oversee the production and field
functions, and take responsibility for the overall coordination of regional
activities and partnerships
Prepare and actively monitor the implementation of
departments’ work plans.

Actively monitor the performance through supervision
on a daily basis.
Set production targets with the Production
supervisor, CEO Marketing and Brand Manager and Finance Manager on an annual
basis
Build and strengthen working relationships between
BNU, the public and stakeholders.
Participate in regular District activities such as
exhibitions.
Ensure safety for both equipment and people working
in the Operations department
Implement recommendations/issues arising out of j
Audit reports by UBOS, and financial audits.
Work closely with the Production supervisor and
carryout regular drills, authorize repairs and servicing of machinery within
budget limits
Coordination of plant visits by the public
The incumbent will formulate and obtain management
approval for sales activities of BNU products.
Plan for adequate manpower with the right
competencies.
Organize weekly departmental meetings.
Mentor and Coach Staff in Factory Operations
department as per job requirements
Carry out a training needs assessment for staff in Operations
department and recommend relevant training
Administer human resource policies as per the HR
handbook.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief
Executive Officer.
Preparation and submission of budgets, work plans
Preparation and submission of weekly updates of
activities
Build healthy relationships with the District and
farmers.
Timely submission of staff performance appraisal
reports
Implementation of activities properly ‘coordinated
and supervised
Effective leadership and a motivated workforce with
maintained
Performance reviews carried out
Experience:
The Operations Manager should preferably hold a Post
Graduate Degree in Humanities, and or Financial Management
A minimum of five years’ experience in business operations
and human resources management experience
Good report writing skills
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge of plant safety and safe working environment
Business understanding
Good managerial / supervisory skills
Working knowledge of HR processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of Companies and other relevant
legislation Customer focused.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
