Working in
consortia with GOAL, VSO and Restless Development, the Driving Youth-led New
Agribusiness and Microenterprise (DYNAMIC) program which will strengthen
systems and facilitate creation of sustainable economic opportunities for
disadvantaged youth. The goal is to increase the number of youth in secure
employment/self-employment and to promote agricultural market systems for
youth. DYNAMIC will reach 125,000 out-of-school youth aged 15–24 in eight
districts of northern Uganda over five years.

Job Summary: The Vocational
Training Specialist – Agriculture will assess the needs and build the technical
and institutional capacity of staff within vocational training institutes to
deliver market relevant agricultural related trainings and services to youth so
they can access employment as part of the MasterCard funded DYNAMIC project.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Input into the assessment conducted by the DYNAMIC
consortium to select VTIs that the best fit the needs of the project

Carry out an assessment of the organisational and
technical capacity needs of VTIs in location and jointly with the VTI develop a
capacity building plan

Steer the implementation of the capacity building
plan (this can be directly through on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring
as well as identifying appropriate resource person(s) within DYNAMIC consortium

Qualifications, Skills and

in the field of agriculture or agronomy or other related degree
