Job Summary: The Kampala Bureau Chief will be responsible
for the newspaper’s news editor for Uganda and effectively manage content
generation for the newspaper and its digital platforms.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the quality and quantity
of editorial content from Uganda

In charge of assessing political, social and
economic climate in Uganda, while anticipating likely developments for
coverage;

deliver stories within the set daily deadline

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The applicant should preferably hold a University
degree in Journalism or a Bachelors’ degree in relevant field with a Postgraduate
diploma in Journalism;

At least five years’ experience as an Editor or
seven years’ experience as a reporter;
