Job Summary: The
Fundraising Officer will support the Fundraising Coordinator in implementing
ActionAid’s Fundraising Strategy and deliver AAU’s specific fundraising
programmes relating to institutional donors, high value donors, major donors,
trust and philanthropic foundations and corporate giving to achieve resource
mobilization targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Implement the fundraising strategies targeting
institutional donors, high value donors, major donors, trusts and foundation,
and corporate donors in line with MU fundraising strategy, CSP IV, Ml
fundraising policies, strategies and standards, and the national laws
·        
The jobholder will contact fundraising sources to
optimize opportunities
·        
Support the development of 2 -year plans and budgets
in line with fundraising strategy and CSP IV Commitments.
·        
Update contract management database and share
periodic performance reports in line with fundraising strategy, policies and
Standards.
·        
Send out fundraising communications and collaterals
·        
Prepare and send periodic fundraising reports
·        
Fundraise for projects
·        
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Fundraising
Coordinator
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant for the Fundraising Officer vacancy
should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Business
Administration, Mass Communication or any other related discipline from a
recognized institution
·        
At least three years’ experience from a recognized
institution with track record of fundraising success.
·        
Excellent communication and report writing skills
·        
Excellent analytical skills
·        
Good resource mobilization skills
·        
Exhibit commitment to develop, promote and practice
ActionAid vision, mission, values and strategies
·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of donor and
philanthropy sector
·        
Impeccable level of integrity
