Strengthening Partnerships, Results and Innovations in Nutrition Globally
(SPRING) Project is a five-year cooperative agreement funded by the United
States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by JSI Research
& Training Institute Inc. with partners, Helen Keller International, the
Manoff Group, Save the Children, and the International Food Policy Research
Institute (IFPRI). SPRING’s overarching
vision is to reduce under-nutrition, prevent stunting, and work with women of
reproductive age and children aged 6-23 months on reducing anemia. SPRING aims
to strengthen country efforts to scale up high-impact nutrition practices and
policies to improve maternal and child nutrition outcomes.
Summary: The Finance and Operations Assistant will provide general administrative
support to the USAID SPRING Finance and Operations Team in line with the
organizational guidelines and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support to the Finance and Operations
department
Ensure proper & timely filling of all Finance
and operations documents and ensuring safe custody of all related documents.
In charge of photocopying, scanning and documentation
support to the Finance and Operations team.
Participating in unit related activities,
meetings.
Prepare and modify documents including
correspondence, drafts, memos and emails
Technically support effective coordination of
meetings, workshops and draft minutes for staff meetings in a timely manner
Receive and direct visitors and clients: Backstop
receptionist by receiving and transferring incoming calls.
Offer cordial support to general HR related
functions while observing high levels of confidentiality
In charge of the movement of documents between
offices and follow up.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Procurement
Officer.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a diploma
in Business Administration, Procurement or Finance.
At least a year of experience in administration,
procurement or Finance related work
Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency with
basic MS Office packages (Word, Excel )
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent command of English language and ability
to work in multi-cultural settings.
Excellent interpersonal skills – able to build
good working relationships.
Proven ability to share knowledge and experience.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and
maturity.
