About US:
ZOA is an
International Non-Governmental Organisation working in Uganda since 1998. Its
mission is to assist in rebuilding the livelihoods of peoples who are affected
by human conflict or natural disaster. We operate in 15 countries in Africa and
Asia. Our community based programme in Uganda concentrates on Food Security,
Livelihoods/Economic Development, Water Sanitation and Hygiene. Vocational
Training, Education and Peace Building and is implemented in close cooperation
with local organizations and local government.
About ZOA LSED Project:
In 2015, ZOA
started implementing a multi-year Land Security and Economic Development
Project in Nwoya District; this is intended to be the first of several projects
ZOA shall deliver in the other geographic areas it is operating in including
West Nile and Karamoja sub regions.
Job Summary:  The Community Mobilizer will assist the
Project Coordinator in carrying out the project implementation particularly
creating the desired awareness in the community on Customary land tenure
through organising community sensitization/education on Customary tenure
registration, mobilizing, monitoring and assessing community program
activities. S/he will work closely with other ADR actors in conflict mediation
in facilitating reflection-based community dialogues to address land related
disputes.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The incumbent should preferably hold a Diploma in
Law, Land Management, and Social Sciences.
·        
Ability to connect well with the community.
·        
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·        
Skills, ability and willingness to ride a
motorcycle.
·        
Good knowledge of the local language. (LUO)
·        
Willingness to be based in Nwoya district at the
Parish.
