Job Summary: The Business
Manager (2nd Channel)will work closely with the Advertising Sales Manager
through initiating and executing sales while promoting and developing effective
advertising solutions for clients. The job holder will mainly plan, coordinate,
control and supervise the work of the team of Sales Executives to generate and
meet agreed individual and teams’ volume against set advertising sales annual
revenue targets.
Manager (2nd Channel)will work closely with the Advertising Sales Manager
through initiating and executing sales while promoting and developing effective
advertising solutions for clients. The job holder will mainly plan, coordinate,
control and supervise the work of the team of Sales Executives to generate and
meet agreed individual and teams’ volume against set advertising sales annual
revenue targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Design sales strategies and initiate new ideas for
development of commercial advertisement sales within the given sales team.

Obtain research data/market intelligence and
disseminate to the sales team as a selling tool.

Conduct a regular client list review and discuss
with the sales executives their daily plans, give them guidelines and if
necessary accompany them on sales trips.

Maintain sales contacts with appropriate
representatives of major advertisers and does follow ups, resolves any
complaints and keeps the Sales Manager informed.

Identify new ideas for development of airtime sales,
discuss them with Advertising Manager and plan their implementation through
Sales Executives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The applicant should hold a University Degree

A minimum of five years’ experience in sales
(experience in media industry will be an added advantage);

Excellent prospecting skills with an orientation for
