will provide leadership in designing, development and implementation of the
ActionAid Women’s Rights programmes to ensure program quality and impact in
line with CSP-IV and relevant organizational policies.
Manage the development, planning and implementation
of women’s rights program and strategies in line with AAI/U strategies and
frameworks
Actively monitor the implementation of women’s
rights programs .strategies and provide support to respective units in line with
the CSP and organizational Policies
Conduct resource mobilization tasks and provide
support in line with CSP, fundraising strategy and other organizational
Policies
Carry out contextual analysis, research and analyze
policies for generation of evidence for policy advocacy and campaigns in line
With the CSP Campaign strategies and the AA theory of change
Engage in and coordinate local, national and
international policy advocacy and campaign work in line with M theory of change
Coordinate the documentation, innovation and
packaging of messages, stories of change, newsletter, results, impact and
learnings in line with Communication strategy and other AAU/l related
guidelines.
Initiate, nurture and sustain strategic networks and
alliances at all levels in line with AAU/l guidelines and frameworks
Identify thematic and programme knowledge needs for
the programme and its partners, coordinate the generation, storage and access
to knowledge in line with the AAU KM
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager
Program Development
Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Gender/women studies, Development studies, humanities or any other
related discipline from a recognized institution is a requirement
Possession of a relevant Post graduate qualification
and training in Human Rights Based Approaches, Law, Human Rights, gender,
democracy and governance is added advantage.
At least four years’ experience, two years of which
should have been in managerial position from a recognized institution.
Competency in Feminist analysis and programming
Gender and women rights analytical and programming
skills
Extensive knowledge in proposal development
Strong program development and design skills;
Proven ability to successfully fundraise
Good networking and coalition/movement building
Critical writing and analysis
Working knowledge of research and data management
techniques
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good monitoring and evaluation skills
Good research, policy analysis and advocacy skills
Excellent advocacy and campaigning skills
Good problem solving skills;
Good people management skills
