The Embassy of
Sweden in Kampala is the diplomatic mission of the Kingdom of Sweden whose mandate
is to promote Swedish-Ugandan relations through political dialogue, development
cooperation, trade and investment, cultural exchange and through service to
Swedish and foreign citizens with issues related to Swedish authorities. Sweden
is strengthening its engagement with Uganda in the area of trade and
investment, and has embarked on a new programming period of its bilateral
development cooperation.

Summary: The Accountant will be responsible
for the Embassy of Sweden’s bookkeeping, main cash till and ensures that liquid
assets and financial statements are kept in a secure manner.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all payments, prepare vouchers and take care
of the day-to-day bookkeeping in accordance with generally accepted accounting
principles;

Manages salary administration for the locally employed
staff;

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The ideal candidate for the Embassy of Sweden Accountant
vacancy should hold an academic degree in accounting, or equivalent;

A minimum of five years of relevant professional
experience as a book-keeper or accountant;
