Job Summary: The NTV Newscast
Director plays a significant role in the production process that encompasses
the execution and delivery of all newscasts, programs and LIVE broadcasts. The incumbent
works with specialized equipment that requires special training/knowledge to
operate. Usually a highly creative individual, the jobholder will be tasked
with identifying technical problems and providing innovation solutions. This is
a hands-on job that also requires coordinating set design and construction,
lighting and handling any emergent technical details needed during broadcasts.

Oversee the best news-related shows and programmes
by keeping to deadlines and ensuring studio and equipment are in working
condition at all times

Manage the technical aspects of newscasts and other
productions including taking responsibility for the on-air product including
camera shots and graphics

Operate equipment to produce programs or broadcast
