member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and its core
mandate is to promote high quality, high-impact and gender sensitive Sexual
& Reproductive Health and Rights information and services through capacity
building, specialized service delivery, issue specific advocacy and strategic
partnerships.
Summary: The Accounts Assistant will support the
Accountant in managing and maintaining Project Accounts, Logistics and Supplies
in line with the project funding agreement/financial procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Keenly
verify all project payments to ensure accuracy, correctness and compliance to
set procedures
Write
and maintain accurate books of accounts.
Manage
all bank and cash transactions.
Ensure
regular budget follow-up and budget revisions when necessary
Prepare
and submit timely periodic financial reports
Maintain
logistical and stores record according to RHU guidelines
Plan,
monitor and budget for commodity requirements and purchasing, and commodity
distribution
Perform
any other professional duties as may be assigned by the Accountant.
Skills and Experience:
The
ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
Computer
literacy i.e. working knowledge of Navision accounting software will be an
added advantage.
A
year of prior NGO experience will be an added advantage
Excellent
communication, organizational and interpersonal skills in regard to office
administration
