such as: Pre-paid plans, Post-paid plans, International roaming, Dedicated
customer care, One rate to all networks, Fax and Data, Call forwarding, Per

Core Network Planning & Support will co-ordinate and provide planning/
design inputs of the core network architecture, features and services, Oversee
overall governance of contractual execution of core Network operation,
maintenance and optimization of Core Network.
Co-ordinate and provide planning and control of
initiatives, investment, capacity expansion of the core network nodes:
Provide Quarterly NCP (Network change plan )
including the any design changes forecasted on the core network:
Provide BOQ output in liaison with the Managed
capacity Vendor or Core equipment vendor.
Following up extensions and Installation of core
Network nodes.
Take part in commissioning of MSC/HLR/STP/MGW and
other core nodes.
Ensure that all new MSC/HLR/STP/MGW and other core
nodes implementations are documented, maintain MSC/HLR/STP/MGW specific
documentation including:
Observation of KPI as a pro-active measure to
prevent service degradation and most specifically after network interventions
Routine monitoring and auditing of core network
configuration maintained by the Managed Services Partner and report any
anomalies.
Support to establishment of Key Performance
Indicators KPI for core nodes
Support to Marketing department on new services
development.
Assist in Governance of the core Network changes
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Networks
Service Head
The ideal candidate for the Engineer, Core Network
Planning & Support vacancy should hold a University Degree in
telecommunications or equivalent
At least five years’ working experience in the
Telecommunications sector.
Ability to operate in a performance driven
organization
Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in use of
Microsoft Office suite of applications
Business awareness
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving
skills
Good organizational and planning skills
High personal standards and goal oriented
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good and effective communications skills, both
orally and in writing
