Protection Specialist

Worker will support the Child Protection Specialist by managing and coordinating
the Project grant and ensure its effective implementation in the various areas.
The incumbent will coordinate ChildFund’s development
of work plans and oversee timely and quality implementation of project plans,
budgets and activities.
Ensure effective implementation of industrial standards
in Project interventions.
Ensure adherence to all relevant ChildFund
standards, policies and procedures.
Plan implementation of and monitor Project advocacy
programme.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the management,
basic sector knowledge, policy and advocacy through team meetings, feedback on
reports, field visits and training sessions of the project
Build, strengthen strong, collaborative relationships
with the partners, as well as other complementary programmes, at district,
national and regional level.
Represent ChildFund in strategic forums/meetings.
The incumbent actively looks for opportunities to
publish and present ChildFund successes and lessons learned in regards to
Project
In charge of the preparation and submission of
timely project reports.
Coordinate and work closely with counterparts in
other Project Organizations.
Experience:
The ideal candidate for the ChildFund Social Worker
job should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social
Sciences, Education, Adult and Community Education, Community Psychology,
Social Work and Social Administration.
Possession of a Post graduate diploma in Project
Planning & Management and Professional Counseling.
At least five years’ experience in programme and
grants management
At least five years of post-qualification experience
in a similar position in a development institution.
At least three years’ experience in a supervisory
role.
Possess exceptional coaching, facilitation and
conceptual skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills in
English required
Good computer literacy skills i.e. Word, Excel and
PowerPoint
Demonstrable aptitude in teamwork.
Ability to take fast decisions.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good people management skills.
