About US:
BTC, the
Belgian Development Agency, together with different Government Ministries, are
implementing the bilateral cooperation between Uganda & Belgium.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·        
Drive authorized persons and/or equipment for
projects of BTC Uganda at the duty station (Kampala, Fort Portal or Arua).
·        
Accompany the staff on missions outside the duty
station.
·        
The Driver will be in charge of delivering and picking
up mail/correspondence for the project and perform other administrative and
logistical tasks as requested.
·        
Keep the official vehicle papers and logbook up to
date.
·        
Drive the assigned vehicle in accordance with
Ugandan regulation and with respect for the safety of vehicle users and the
public in general.
·        
Keep the vehicle in a good, clean and well
maintained condition.
·        
Regularly report immediately to the project officer
any damage caused to the vehicle by any means.
·        
Ensure that the vehicle is not used for unauthorized
purposes.
·        
Ensure vehicle maintenance records and report
immediately to the project administrator any required repairs or maintenance.
·        
Ensure that all licenses, taxes and insurances are
paid and up to date prior to entering the vehicle.
·        
Drive safely and ensure safety of your passengers at
all times.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicants should preferably have a minimum of
five years’ driving experience with a reputable organization.
·        
The Drivers must be in possession of valid driving
license (B).
·        
Hold a Certificate of defensive driving, first aid
courses, and basic mechanics are an added advantage.
·        
Good time management skills
·        
Concern for standards.
·        
Team management orientation.
·        
High degree of personal integrity.
·        
Fluency in both written and spoken English.
