Right To Play is headquartered in Toronto, Canada and has national fundraising
offices in Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, the United
Kingdom, and the United States. Regional offices are in Africa, Asia, and the
Middle East. Our programs are facilitated by more than 600 international staff
and 16,000 local volunteer Coaches.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer (MELO) steers the Monitoring,
Evaluation and Learning (MEL) system across the country and plays an active
part in the global Right To Play M&E community by contributing to the
organization’s understanding of its program approaches and outcomes.
The incumbent will manage and implement Right To
Play’s country-level monitoring, evaluation and learning (M&E) plan, within
the RTP global M&E framework and specific to country strategies, needs and
contexts;
The incumbent assesses RTP’s global indicators and
M&E tools for relevance and appropriateness within country’s context and
proposes revisions as required
Coordinate and implement the monitoring of program
activities, participants, and outcomes and support the development of program
reports;
Provide support in program planning at the country
level by conducting appropriate assessments and through the provision of technical
assistance;
Support program evaluations;
Assesses country-level capacity for successful
implementation of M&E and develop strategies for increasing capacity of
project leads in MEL and reporting
Develop a country office learning strategy to ensure
internal reflection, and disseminating learning internally and externally.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the
supervisor.
The ideal candidate for RTP Monitoring, Evaluation
and Learning Officer (MELO) should hold a Master’s degree in international or
social development or related field.
A minimum of three to five years’ hands-on experience
developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks in an international
organisation or donor funded programmes
Excellent track record of project MEL systems
management.
Two years’ experience working with social
development programs (programming with children and young people is a definite
asset).
Proven skills and experience in data collection,
statistical analysis and reporting, including experience with computer-based
statistical packages and databases (ACCESS, SPSS, SAS etc)
