Job Summary:  The Living Goods Logistics Assistant/Driver
will be tasked with stock management and distribution, safe transport of goods
and staff, and logistics support for trainings and branches.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
1.
Assist in management of daily logistics and driving tasks:
·        
The incumbent will also manage and receive
deliveries to ensure quantities and quality meet expectations and are received
on time.
·        
The incumbent will also manage stock storage
conditions; prepare all documentation for outgoing stock and oversee truck
loading from HQ.
·        
Write purchase orders for necessary approvals.
·        
Manage contractors during renovation works at new
and existing branches to ensure quality of work.
·        
Deliver stock and non-stock items to branches in a
timely manner.
·        
Ensure LG vehicles are always fueled, clean, and
maintained and repaired as needed.
·        
Drive LG staff and guests to branches and other
locations as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The applicants should hold a University Degree or
Diploma required; Procurement & Logistics, Business Administration,
Transport or related field preferred.
·        
At least three years’ professional work experience
in logistics management.
·        
The ideal candidate should have a proven ability to
work under pressure in a fast moving dynamic environment while delivering
results at an individual and team level.
·        
The incumbent should be self-driven, smart and
pragmatic person with an exceptional track record of stock management and
logistic processes, have a clean driving history, some computer skills, and are
attentive to detail.
·        
Excellent analytical and math skills, basic computer
skills.
·        
Possession of driving permit with defensive driving
certification required.
·        
Ability to identify potential problems before they
occur and to take imitative in response.
·        
Proactive in preparation.
·        
Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural
environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both
within and outside the organization.
·        
Keen attention to detail and a sense of
professionalism a must.
·        
Fluency in Luganda and English – Ability to manage
day-to-day interactions with contracted external service providers and to
analyze their performance.
