Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) project
Uganda

professionals who provide technical assistance, research, analysis, and
practical training services in more than 128 countries.
Strengthening Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) project is
USAID’s flagship initiative in private sector health. SHOPS focuses on
increasing availability, improving quality, and expanding coverage of essential
health products and services in family planning and reproductive health,
maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS, and other health areas through the
private sector. In Uganda, the healthy mother voucher program has two
objectives: to provide access to maternal child health care services from
accredited private facilities and to build the capacity of a local organization
to manage the voucher program.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Master’s
Degree (minimum) in public health, business administration, social marketing,
finance, or other related fields;
At least ten years of relevant professional
experience in designing, implementing and managing private sector health
projects in developing countries.
Previous exposure and experience in maternal child
health and voucher programs required.
