(Operations and Business Development)
Zones Authority is mandated to establish, develop, manage, market, maintain,
supervise, control and to provide for other related matters of Free Zones in
Uganda, as outlined in section 13 sub-section 1 to 2 of the Free Zones Act,
2014.
Development Executive will be in charge of promoting and coordinating investment,
mobilisation of resources for developing the Free Zones and formulate market
strategies.
The incumbent will take lead in the identification
and development of new business opportunities for development of industrial
Free Zones;
Conduct feasibility studies on Free Zone
establishments;
Develop and promote cluster strategies for priority
sectors such as ICT/BPO, Agro-processing and Logistics;
Actively promote and market the Free Zones
Programme, its products and services;
Build and strengthen working relationships with the
relevant institutions, both locally and internationally;
In charge of sourcing of finances (private sector,
development partners) for Free Zones projects and prepare appropriate
proposals;
Formulate proposals for resource mobilization;
Keenly review business and project implementation
plans;
Initiate PPP Joint Ventures for the management and
maintenance function;
Perform any other duties assigned from time to time
by the Manager (Operations and Business Development).
Experience:
The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or any related
field. Possession of a Master’s Degree or postgraduate qualification in a
related field is an added advantage.
A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar
position in a reputable organisation.
Possess skills in writing proposals and grant
applications to solicit funds from various development partners to support the
Activities of the Authority

Age: Between 25 – 35
years old
