About Compassion Project:
Bukedi Anglican
Diocese is a Christ, centered Evangelical diocese committed to fulfilling the
great commission as mandated by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:16-20. They
are currently working in partnership with Compassion International in the
Ministry of Nurturing Poor Children, and releasing them from poverty in Jesus
name.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is
a strong Christian witness who demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude
in dealing with people within and outside of Church, and also faithfully upholds
Child Ministry in prayer.
·        
Working within ones influence, serves as an advocate
for children and their caregivers who live in poverty and are not able to speak
out for themselves. This includes being informed about issues of children and
influencing others to greater involvement on their behalf.
·        
The incumbent also implements the day- to-day
running of the project health activities for the achievement of physical
development outcomes.
·        
Carries out other critical roles for the smooth
running of the project as a team member.
·        
Oversees implementing health related standards of
the partnership agreement as well as recommended manuals as the health
technical staff within the partnership.
·        
Prepares and submits health related reports to the
Project Director and church leadership as a means to monitor and evaluate the
health program.
·        
Acts as consultant on all health issues that affect
children and the community by using his or her experience and expertise to
challenge, motivate, sensitize and equip the church on ways of preventing
diseases, immunization of children, celebration of health days as well as
dealing with epidemics.
·        
Performs any other project work related duties as
assigned by the Project Director.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidates for the Child Development
Officer jobs must possess professional backgrounds with at least diplomas in
any of the following: nursing, primary healthcare, community health, clinical
medicine, education/social work administration. Social Work & Social
Administration, Social sciences, Development Studies, Education, Communication,
Records Management and any related disciplines
·        
The applicants must be mature born again Christians
with sound testimonies.
·        
Excellent interpersonal skills.
·        
Prior experience and current knowledge of HIV/AIDS
intervention will be an added advantage.
·        
Formal training in Counseling and Child Development
will be an added advantage.
·        
Computer literacy skills.
·        
Customer service orientation.
·        
Demonstrated ability to apply and adapt to
established accounting procedures to a variety of accounting transactions,
problems and situations.
·        
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·        
Intermediate English ability is preferred.
·        
Skills in Project Planning and Management will be an
added advantage.
·        
Formal training in Counseling and Child Development
will be an added advantage.
·        
Age: 25-35 years
