About USAID Project:
Cardno is
seeking to implement an anticipated USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in
Northern Uganda. This project aims to increase utilization of health services
through increased availability of and accessibility to health services,
improved quality of health services and increased availability of resources for
public sector health services. Key aims of the program are reduction in HIV
infections, total fertility, maternal and child mortality, malnutrition,
malaria and tuberculosis (TB).
Job Summary: The Deputy
Chief of Party will be responsible for providing support directly to the COP’s
leadership, and his/her general technical direction of the entire program ensuring
an integrated vision among different components and actors, and a focus on
achieving the results defined in the agreement. The incumbent will provide
supervision and coordination across technical teams and help to build and maintain
strong working relationships with local stakeholders at a senior, strategic
level.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The applicant should preferably hold an advanced
degree in public health, medicine, social development, business administration
or relevant field
·        
At least eight years of mid to senior level
experience in the technical areas listed above
·        
Prior experience in Uganda or East Africa leading
implementation of similar donor-funded health programs.
·        
Prior USAID program management experience is highly
preferred.
·        
Ability to manage and lead teams
·        
Strong verbal and written communication skills
·        
Professional Fluency in English
