Assistant
secure and economically empowered East and Central African Region free of human
trafficking and forced labor. Current activities include support to east and
central African partners towards ending human trafficking and poverty through:
research and advocacy, holistic reintegration and NGO capacity building.
will render support in transport and ensure logistical needs of ANCHOR teams,
materials, and guests are attended to.
Drive the office vehicle, strictly observing Traffic
Rules and Regulation including prescribed maximum speed limits.
Observe proper operation and maintenance of ANCHOR
fleet to ensure safe transportation of persons and materials.
Work closely with and coordinate with the Logistics
team on matters related to the registration of all vehicles
Plan Route and requirements by studying schedule or
ad-hoc requests by the Office
Prepare delivery plans for ANCHOR teams and
materials
Prepare and ensure completion and orderly recording
of logbooks at all times
Prepare and ensure reporting of all damages to any
of the office fleet
Work closely with the Logistics team to ensure that
assigned vehicles are always clean and in good condition, necessary maintenance
and servicing shall be done and scheduled properly for the convenience of
activities
Prepare and submit monthly reports and
recommendation on vehicles and vehicle usage.
Work in liaison with the Logistics Assistant to
ensure that there is no vehicle misuse and mismanagement.
Ensure that closing time for regular working hours,
drivers shall, at all time park the vehicles at the designated parking area
when not on official use.
Actively monitor the expiration and renewal of
vehicle insurance and ensure that the Logistics Assistant is informed in time.
Experience:
The Transport Facilitator should hold a valid driver’s
licence
Prior experience working with Regional or
International NGOs, is an added advantage
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a cross-cultural team, and learn quickly
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging
targets and deadlines
Excellent verbal and written English language skills
Basic computer knowledge is an advantage
