Coordinator
Procurement Officer will provide guidance and technical support in planning,
budgeting and controlling of Procurement and Disposal of Assets function and
activity of the SGR to ensure value for money.
The incumbent will facilitate and provide technical
support on Procurement planning process, budgeting, control of public resources
and, any other matter concerning Procurement and Disposal of Assets in the
entity.
Prepare, compile and submit appropriate reports to Contracts
committee, Project Coordinator and user units.
Ensure adequate internal controls system so as to
enforce compliance and conformity with legal and regulatory framework governing
Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets function.
The incumbent will also be responsible for the consolidation
and review of the procurement plan.
Coordinate effective management of evaluation
process including constitution of evaluation team, timely evaluation and
submission to the Contracts Committee.
Actively monitor and appraise Contract management process
Oversee Inventory management function within the
entity.
Manage, mentor and motivate subordinate staff.
Ensure effective management of negotiation
processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned from time to
time.
The ideal candidate should hold an Honours Bachelor’s
degree in Supply Chain management or BCOM/BBA with specialisation in
Procurement and Supply Chain Management plus Full professional
qualification/membership from recognized institutions
An Honours Degree in Commerce or Business
Administration or Economics plus full professional qualifications in Supply
Chain Management from a recognized Institution.
Full professional qualification/membership from
recognized institutions
At least a postgraduate Diploma in a Management
related field obtained from a recognized awarding Institution/body
A minimum of four (4) years of relevant working
experience, two (2) of which should be at managerial Level in Procurement work
from a reputable organization
