Job Summary:  The Project Manager will support Stanbic Bank
through planning, organising staff, overseeing and controlling bank initiatives
in line with the bank’s strategic plan through provision of project management
service on assigned project(s).
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
In the delivery of projects, will follow and apply
the organizations project governance, standards, and methodologies as defined
by Project Management Office (PMO).
·        
Work closely with Product owners and other business
units across the bank to ensure a    
synergistic and co-ordinate approach to the achievement of business objectives.
·        
Ensure all activities and projects undertaken are
completed and implemented on  time and
within budget.
·        
Ensure that proposed work is not being duplicated in
other projects/work requests.    
·        
Work in liaison with all members of the project team
to ensure successful project     
implementation.
·        
Ensure successful Post Implementation Evaluation
(PIE) reviews.
·        
Organize regular meetings to discuss and obtain feedback
on projects in order to monitor progress and ensure successful and timely
implementation.
·        
Escalate any concerns as quickly as possible to all
relevant stakeholders, mainly Project Board, Executive and PMO
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a good Bachelor’s
degree
·        
Possession of post graduate qualification in Project
management
·        
1 to 2 years project management and general banking
experience desirable.
·        
A minimum of seven years’ experience in project
management
·        
Past experience in IT and business project
management
·        
Significant experience in leadership or management
of teams experience
·        
Business and Projects Management desirable
·        
Broad knowledge and understanding of nature,
culture, operations and tactical priorities of project management office
·        
Broad knowledge of bank strategies and tactical
plans
·        
A sound business/industry understanding of financial
services.
·        
Finance and Accounting knowledge
·        
Working knowledge and understanding of electronic
presentation tools in preparation of communication documentation, Business case
documentation
·        
Benefits planning documentation analysis and
tracking
·        
Process Modelling Tools e.g. Microsoft Visio, ARIS
or Vision
