Administration Manager
African Women Educationalists – Uganda Chapter (FAWEU) was launched in February
1997 as part of a bigger network of 34 National Chapters across Africa with a
primary aim of addressing the gender disparities in education that were
manifested through low rates of access to education, retention, performance and
completion of girls starting from upper primary school through secondary up to
higher education levels. FAWE Uganda Chapter has received a three-year funding
for a new project that will address Violence against giris and women in and
around schools in the districts of Kasese, Bundibugyo, Ntoroko.
Resource Officer will offer technical and administrative support in the
development and implementation of Human resources policies relating to recruitment,
staffing, training and staff development, performance management, records
management all contributing to effective use of Human Resources within the
organization.
Work in collaboration with line managers to develop
HR planning strategies for immediate and long term staff requirements in terms
of numbers and skill levels;
Actively participates in the formulation of Human
Resource policies, strategies and methodologies to conform to the required ‘
standards and the Ugandan Law and ensuring successful implementation.
Guides the F&A Manager, departmental heads and
staff on human resource management and development issues.
Prepares employment contracts for new employees and
consultants for specialized services
Prepares and submits reports related to Human
Resource functions.
Maintain high level of transparency and
accountability of all resources
Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree
in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration with a
Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
A minimum of three years’ practical experience in
managing Human Resource issues with an international or local NGO.
Broad knowledge and understanding of labor,
employment laws and other government statutory requirements
Working knowledge of Human Resource Information
Management system is an added advantage.
