Director
secure and economically empowered East and Central African Region free of human
trafficking and forced labor. Current activities include support to east and
central African partners towards ending human trafficking and poverty through:
research and advocacy, holistic reintegration and NGO capacity building.
Assistant One will render administrative support through managing staff and
board meetings, front desk interfacing, recording, archiving, and retrieving HR
information, and ensuring routine office and team care needs are met.
Manage all front desk communication as well as
manage Executive Director schedules
The incumbent will organize and coordinate all
staff, board, and other meetings on behalf of the ED
Ensure proper recording, archiving, and prompt
retrieval of organizational documents e.g. meeting minutes, HR information,
etc.
Ensure excellent office operation and maintenance,
team safety, and security
The incumbent will develop and maintain administrative
procedures and systems
Manage staff travel and accommodation arrangements
Manage all office communications systems and
equipment maintenance
Draft correspondences, and review documents and
reports whenever needed
Keenly track team performance and conformance using
approved systems, procedures, and templates
Carry out language translations and interpretations
whenever needed
Experience:
The applicant must hold a good Bachelors’ degree in
HR, Hospitality, Communications, Administration or other related field
Prior experience working with Regional or
International NGOs, is an added advantage
The position holder shall be a dynamic and
knowledgeable individual able to work within a high-paced and multicultural
work environment to deliver on administrative, clerical, communications, and
team care needs of ANCHOR.
Candidate must be able to demonstrate very good
communication skills
Strong skills in Microsoft office suite packages is
a must
Keen attention to detail and ability to produce high
quality work
Ability to work in a cross-cultural team, and learn quickly
Ability to manage information through efficient
records management and confidentiality
Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging
targets and deadlines
Excellent verbal and written English language skills
Possession of good verbal and written French
language skills preferred
