Assistant
secure and economically empowered East and Central African Region free of human
trafficking and forced labor. Current activities include support to east and
central African partners towards ending human trafficking and poverty through:
research and advocacy, holistic reintegration and NGO capacity building.
Assistant will support ANCHOR in meeting team and client hospitality needs,
office hygiene, replenishing office supplies, as well as supporting Executive
Assistant whenever needed with arranging for meetings, supporting with front
desk assignments, etc.
Ensure proper office hygiene is upheld daily
including cleaning floors, walls, restrooms, etc
The incumbent will attend to team hospitality needs
including providing meals and refreshments
Offer front desk support to the Executive Assistant
when needed; serving external customers’ needs promptly; managing telephone,
written, and face- to-face communications.
Do a round check in all office at EOB to ensure that
all electrical appliance are turned off
Work closely with the logistics department to
maintain reasonable stock levels and office supplies as required by relevant
department heads to ensure stock outs do not occur.
The incumbent will also support board, staff, and
external meetings, workshops, and summits.
Ensuring orderly space and necessary provisions are
availed in advance and arranging meeting facilities and venues.
Managing the payments of all monthly utility bills
with the Finance department;
Ensure facilities and compound management across all
sites; ensuring adequate security measures, asset maintenance, power and water
supplies are carried out. Also ensure facilities and compounds condition are in
line with health and safety standards of ANCHOR
Responsible for the security and cleanliness of the
premises, ensure that offices are locked and report any security threat
immediately; and ensure that armed security is within the premise before close
of office.
Experience:
The Office Assistant should preferably hold a Diploma
or certificate in nutrition, hospitality, event management or other related
field.
At least two years’ experience in performing similar
administrative roles.
The ideal candidate must be a dynamic and personable
individual able to work within a high-paced and multicultural work environment
to deliver on office management and team care needs of ANCHOR.
Prior experience of working in NGO environment is an
added advantage.
Good culinary skills
Attention to detail and ability to produce high
quality work
Ability to work in a cross-cultural team, and learn
quickly
Excellent verbal and written English language skills
