Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Ensure that proper books of accounts are maintained
to satisfy legal and internal requirements including but not limited to cash
registers and cash banking reports;
·        
The incumbent will prepare and submit timely and accurate
accounting information;
·        
Act as company’s cashier by receiving all monies;
·        
The job holder will also safe guard company assets;
·        
Ensure premiums received are correctly allocated to
policies and action taken on the issue arising there from resolution of the
suspense and data issues;
·        
Perform any other duties as required by the Financial
Accountant
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor
of Commerce (Accounting) or its equivalent degree;
·        
Hold professional accounting qualification i.e. ACCA
or CPA;
·        
A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar or
equivalent position;
·        
Computerized accounting applications such as SUN
accounting systems;
·        
Computer literacy skills with proficiency in Ms
Office Suite of packages
·        
Excellent communications skills both oral and
written.
·        
Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work
in a team-oriented and collaborative environment;
·        
Ability to work in a fast paced and highly entrepreneurial
environment;
·        
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
including note taking and
·        
Summarizing skills and the ability to communicate
well at all levels in a clear, appropriate and timely manner;
·        
Strong attention to detail and high level of
accuracy;
·        
Strong team player with excellent leadership skills;
·        
Customer focus and orientation.
