Forestry Authority (NFA) is a Government agency established under the National
Forestry and Tree Planting Act, 2003 as a corporate body responsible for
sustainable development and management of Central Forest Reserves (CFRs) and
provision of technical support to stakeholders in the forest sub-sector.

Job Summary: The Forest
Supervisor will support in Boundary survey, re-survey and maintenance of
related data, maps and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct rapid assessment of boundary situation in
the field; collect ground control points and geo-reference boundary maps.

Plan and carry out surveys and verify Surveys, using
Theodolite, Total Stations and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS)
and or DGPS to ensure quality control.

Search legal records, survey records, and land
titles in order to obtain information about forest reserve boundaries in areas to
be surveyed and/or verified.

Maintain and update Forest Boundary Data Base.
Prepare boundary updates, implement map generation and updates and produce

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

The applicant should hold an Honours degree in Land
Surveying

A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of
surveying.

Prior experience in the use of advanced survey
equipment

Understanding and willingness to learn and ability
