About USAID Project:
Cardno is
seeking to implement an anticipated USAID-funded Integrated Health Activity in
Northern Uganda. This project aims to increase utilization of health services
through increased availability of and accessibility to health services,
improved quality of health services and increased availability of resources for
public sector health services. Key aims of the program are reduction in HIV
infections, total fertility, maternal and child mortality, malnutrition,
malaria and tuberculosis (TB).
Job Summary: The Director of
Health Service Delivery will support the USAID Project COP in the design,
implementation, and monitoring of high impact health interventions at project
supported health facilities, including in HIV/AIDS, MNCH, FP/RH, malaria, and
TB.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The ideal candidate should preferably hold an advanced
degree in medicine or relevant field
·        
A minimum of eight years of mid to senior level
project management experience on donor funded health programs
·        
Prior experience in Uganda and/or East Africa region
in the design, management and implementation of similarly large donor-funded
health programs
·        
Significant experience in the design and
implementation of clinical support activities in public health facilities in Uganda.
·        
Expertise in one or more of the clinical service
areas listed above
·        
Ability to manage teams
·        
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
professional Fluency in English
