Uganda (CALU) is a Non- denominational NGO implementing programs in
Migyera-Nakasongola District and Nabbingo-Wakiso District. CALU envisions
healthy, educated and economically empowered child able to effectively be an
agent and catalyst of socio-economic and political transformation in Uganda.
CALU promotes the improvement and quality of orphaned and disadvantaged
children, their families and communities of Migyera and Nabbingo through
education, health care and income generating programs.
smooth running of day-to-day operations of the Health
Centre, coordinates the actions of all departments and ensure they function as
one.
Plans, directs, coordinates and supervises the
delivery of medical and health services.
Serves as a key liaison among the community,
governing boards and Health Centre staff.
The incumbent implements the policies set by a
governing board of trustees.
Manages facility finances, plans and implements budgets,
sets rates for health services and prepares financial reports.
Manages the maintenance and care of the building and
equipment.
The incumbent updates and maintains a patient record
system.
Manages the hiring and regularly reviews scheduled performance
of all personnel.
Manages health center staff to ensure quality delivery
of health services.
Formulates business strategies to maintain and expand
health services to the community with a goal of sustainability of the Health
Centre.
Develops and expands health Centre programs and participates
in community health planning and service delivery.
Performs any other duties as assigned.
Experience:
The Health Centre Administrator should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration or its
equivalent
Applicants who are health professionals with a Post
graduate diploma in Administration or its equivalent will have an added advantage.
At least three years’ experience from a reputable
Hospital or Health Centre in the field of Administration.
Administration skills in handling long-term
planning, development of operating objectives and budgets, and creation of an
overall system for efficient delivery of medical services.
Broad health care knowledge and medical advancement.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in
writing
Ability to build working relationships with
government agencies, unions and community organizations
