Financial Management (50%)
Management and Accounting oversight
Coordinate financial management firm bookkeeping:
provide them with complete expense and bank documentation, ensure the
submission and accuracy of their monthly reports by the 10th of every month,
and write a supplemental variance narrative monthly.
Oversee internal cash controls: create a monthly
accountability check and report to DCD, set up systems for audit readiness, and
create a system for online finance documentation to liaise easily with USA
accounting firm. Issue, track, and create a system to easily check the accuracy
of staff travel advances.
Create the financial section of the Operations
Manual.
and Reporting
Manage the annual budget process: work with
department managers to accurately forecast expenditure including providing
common cost lists and training on budget tracking.
Quarterly Cost Effectiveness Analysis: compile
financial and M&E data to write a report on program expenditure and
investments to make strategic recommendations for improvement.
Create donor reports upon request.
Coordination: The Finance Manager will create
and manage the procurement system to receive and inspect deliveries, issue
payments or request payment from vendors, receive and analyze bids, research
cost effective products and services
Auditing (20%)
Audits: Lead the internal audit process and ensure that
finance systems and procedures are strengthen and adhered to.

Work closely with auditors to ensure annual
monitoring is carried out
Coordinate external auditor activities
Implement external audit recommendations
Annual Strategic Planning (20%)
Planning
Performance Objectives; Advise Senior Management
team on budget, capacity and priorities for annual plans.
Supporting in strategic planning.
Leadership and Staff Development (10%)
Providing and interpreting financial information
Conducting reviews of cost reduction opportunities
Development
In charge of recruiting, training and team
management for the finance department staff
Coordinate finance department staff performance
reviews and early, honest communication of problematic performance
Experience:
The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree
and professional qualification in ACCA or CPA 2.
At least three years’ work experience. Prior experience
with Quick books, Knowledge or experience managing income
