of direct implementation and partnerships with local civil society
organisations, private sector partners and District Local Government to give
effect to our mission.
will form part of a team that provides support to the National team and will
ensure efficient management of GOAL Uganda’s IT resources to all users.
The incumbent will actively monitor all personal
computers (PCs) running the GOAL software delivery system to ensure that
software distributions are being delivered correctly.
The incumbent will carry out software distribution
updates, scripting, testing and support, resolve IT user tickets on a daily
basis and produce monthly reports for each office location,
Provide IT support to the wired and wireless LAN/Wan
Segments in each Project Office (Kalongo, Abim, Bugiri, Lira and Kaabong)
Maintain and run backups on designated systems for
users, the data bank and upcountry shared NAS & produce monthly reports.
Responsible for application development
Carrying out preventive maintenance on designated
equipment(s)
Perform any other duties as assigned by the IT
Technical Officer.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least two years
of practical experience in the information technology field
Possession of professional IT certifications
including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+,
MCITP or Similar.
Broad working knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN
administration and windows 2008
Good technical skills; demonstrated ability to apply
good judgment in the context of assignment given with the ability to prioritise
a demanding workload.
Familiarity with web technologies and share point.
Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills,
including the ability to advise and train users in the use of Information
Systems/applications and related matters and effectively prepare
specifications, written reports and other documentation in a clear, concise style
Ability to organize, plan and Resolve IT Tickets,
juggle and prioritise competing demands and work under pressure of frequent and
tight deadlines
Ability to travel extensively up to 50% to Kalongo,
Abim, Bugiri, Kaabong and Lira.
