for developing and steering outstanding environmental practices to deliver
breakthrough and sustainable environmental performance through new initiatives
and continuous improvement. The incumbent ensures environment compliance to
legal and other requirements by the company and is also involved in high-level decision
making on emergencies.
Manage the development, review and embedment of UBL environment management
systems and procedures:
Environment policy review and implementation.
Responsible for the training and awareness to build
capability and competence for Environment management and sustainability.
In charge of the effective engagement of a range of
stakeholders including manufacturing personnel, Brewery Management, Brewery
Operators, Utilities Operators, Engineers and suppliers to deliver change.
Oversight of environment compliance programs;-
Advising management of new environment legislations.
Relationship management with Environment regulatory
authorities e.g. NEMA, DWRM.
Provide leadership and direction in Environmental
initiatives that embed a sustainable environmental agenda in line with Diageo
Objectives.
Offer timely technical and capability support to the
site environmental Team.
Management of Environment data recording, retrieval,
reconciliation and reporting.
In charge of preparing sites for the various Environment
audits like KPMG data assurance, ISO, IAA and GAR
Experience:
The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Science in Engineering or Environment discipline.
A minimum of three (3) years management experience
in manufacturing Industry
Prior experience in dealing with external
authorities and managing/coordinating within a multi-site and multi-cultural
environment.
