Monitoring and Evaluation
Enterprise is an International non-governmental organization whose mission is
to equip people living in extreme poverty with the resources to create
sustainable businesses. Village Enterprise has made a strategic decision to
direct its poverty alleviation efforts on people living in extreme poverty in
rural, sub-Saharan Africa.

Data Collection and Analysis Role: 50%
The incumbent will manage enumerators in each office
to successfully carry out data collection
Support with the collection of field level
monitoring data in various villages in Hoima;
Assist with data compilation, data quality review,
and analysis of all field data;
Render support in analyzing data, and writing for
each of End of Cycle Performance Evaluation reports;
In charge of monitoring and Evaluation: 35%
Take part in special project evaluations, and
reviews of M&E tools;
Develop monitoring plans for all pilot projects in
conjunction with the programs team;
Mentor and train staff and enumerators on data
collection, interviewing, data entry, and data analysis;
Operations: 15%
Assist in the adaptation, implementation,
monitoring, and expansion of Village Enterprise;
Offer timely support to senior management team in Uganda
and Kenya;
Train trainers, mentor other employees, and build capacity
in country offices;
Act as a key liaison between the Field Operations Team
and US-based Development Team
The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Degree
in Community Development, Development Studies, or Economics;
A minimum of two years of experience in
environmental conservation, “pro- poor” programs, and/or community development
programs in extremely rural areas;
Critical Thinking & Analysis Skills
Proficiency with Google Documents, Gmail, and
Android applications;
Computer literacy i.e. Proficiency in Microsoft
Excel and the entirety of the MS Office suite required;
Working knowledge of/experience with STATA, SPSS, or
SAS preferred;
Additional training and Communication Skills
Show team-building education capacity within the office;
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Work independently and as part of a team
Language: English
fluency required, Kiswahili highly preferred
